How the RiskLimiter Food Safety App Works

Verified associates will have access to your kitchen’s RiskLimiter app. Open the RiskLimiter app on any mobile device to connect with a bluetooth thermometer. Once logged in to the mobile app, select the desired inspection and follow the prompts for the first item to have its temperature measured. This inspection can be done by inserting the probe or scanning the infrared to read and record the temperature. If the recorded temperature is within an acceptable range, the app will automatically advance to the next item. If out of range, you are prompted to choose a corrective action. The automated version of RiskLimiter Kitchen can even track the cooling process when no employees are on the premises making it perfect for overnight cooling and quality assurance.

Upon completion, inspection data is automatically transferred to the secure RiskLimiter cloud database. Any “out of compliances” will trigger a notification to be sent to the appropriate personnel such as managers, chefs, etc. via email, text or the RiskLimiter Manager’s Application. This communication system ensures that you are receiving proper quality assurance notifications that ensure strong food quality and safety.
